Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is January 18th, so take the day off from unpacking after moving to Knoxville and take your kids to do something fun! To help you plan your day, All My Sons Moving & Storage of Knoxville has four suggestions for things to do with your kids on MLK Day.
-The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Parade- Start your holiday off at the annual MLK Parade at 10 a.m. The parade begins at YWCA Phyllis Wheatley Center and will feature groups, organizations and individuals who support equality and celebrate the accomplishments of Dr. King.
-Knoxville’s Holidays On Ice- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day marks the end of the season for Knoxville’s Holidays On Ice. To celebrate yet another wonderful year and Dr. King, the rink is offering $5 admission for children and students, ages 17 and under. Don’t miss your chance to ice skate after moving to Knoxville and head on over to Knoxville Holidays On Ice, which is located on Market Square. It will be open from noon to 8 p.m.
-The Outdoor Knoxville Adventure Center- All My Sons Knoxville movers suggest getting outside after moving to take in the cool, crisp air with family. The Outdoor Knoxville Adventure Center is located on the waterfront downtown and will offer several different recreational activities on MLK Day.
-Knoxville Zoo- Bring your kids to the Knoxville Zoo on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and receive “buy one, get one free” admission tickets. The Knoxville Zoo is open 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is located at 3500 Knoxville Zoo Drive.
