Knoxville Gears Up for the 13th Annual Secret City Festival

The annual Secret City Festival just outside Knoxville, Tennessee, expects to see headliners like the Marshall Tucker Band and Three Dog Night gracing the stage this year. With such huge headliners will also come huge crowds– thousands, in fact.

Mayor Warren Gooch proclaimed that, “the Secret City Festival is an exciting two days for our city. We always look forward to it because it provides entertainment, festivities and activities for every one of every age. It gives us an opportunity to showcase our city and extend Oak Ridge hospitality to all of our visitors.” In agreement with Gooch, Knoxville moving companies are sure that the Secret City Festival is an appealing event for those who are not only looking to visit, but also for those who may be looking to move to Knoxville in the near future.

The locals have responded with excited anticipation for the upcoming event, as evidenced by the fact that the amount of advance ticket sales have far exceeded ticket sales for past festivals. Aside from multiple concerts every night, the Secret City Festival does not just offer musical performances, they also have everything from historical displays, an arts and crafts fair, and a car show.

Gooch expressed his excitement by stating that, “it’s jam-packed this year in terms of all the different activities.” The future attendees continue to show the most excitement for the Battle of Normandy, with World War II re-enactors. However, that may stand to change after they see how many new, fun additions have been added to the venue this year.

The festival is on its 13th year and continues to celebrate the city’s rich history and traditions. With the way things are heading, it looks like your local Knoxville movers and the rest of the community will continue to frequent the event for many years to come.
