Residents Love “New” Knoxville

Knoxville has come a long way and no one understands this more than local Knoxville movers, All My Sons Moving & Storage, and other local residents. Once described as a “scruffy little city” by a Wall Street Journal reporter in 1980, Knoxville has morphed into a popular town outfitted with historic landmarks, neat attractions, flavorful restaurants and entertaining outdoor activities.

“We love it here. We really enjoy the town,” said Lindsay Conrad, a wife and mother who moved to Knoxville with her family from Charleston less than a year ago.

Says another local resident, Eric Donovan, who also works as the communications director at Visit Knoxville at the Convention and Visitors Bureau, “There’s a lot to do here when you visit, a lot to have fun doing.”

“There are Turkish, Greek, Irish, Italian, Asian, Hispanic, and Kuumba festivals throughout the year. People are realizing how important community is,” she said.

Downtown Knoxville is also proving to be increasing in popularity not only for residents, but businesses as well. According to Donovan, businesses are interested in setting up shop in historical Tennessee buildings, making moving to downtown Knoxville desirable for many.

Although new business is booming in the area, many residents have decided to move to Knoxville because of how close they are to getting away from it all. In less than an hour’s drive, Knoxville residents can find themselves in the middle of the Great Smokey Mountains National Park preparing for a relaxing hike along the park’s diverse trails.

Whether you are looking for better business opportunities or a great place to raise your family, Knoxville has much to offer and a lot of it has transpired over short period of time.
