Bonnaroo Continues to Bring in the Crowd

Your local Knoxville movers are excited to share that Bonnaroo continues in its tradition of bringing in music fans from all over the nation, for the fourteenth year in a row this June.

Originally starting in 2002 and taking place on a sprawling 700 acre farm, thousands upon thousands make the annual pilgrimage to see their favorite artists fill up the festival’s many stages. Some concert-goers braved flat tires, while others waited in lines that lasted longer than five hours. But, one thing remains constant – the dedication of going to the festival.

Most attendees opt to camp at the event, which leads to many of them creating new friends and bonding with their new weekend festival families; a great way to meet new people and take a break from moving if you are moving to Knoxville.

According to one Bonnaroo visitor, “when you park, you have to throw your stuff out on the ground and spread out as fast as you can.”

This year, the festival will have a “silent disco,” where everyone goes to a silent tent with a DJ and wears headphones in order to jam out to the music.

Bonnaroo veteran Diomande Pandis, described the experience as, “everybody dancing, but if you walk by and you’re not in it, you don’t hear a thing. You just see everyone rocking out. It’s so fun…I usually do it at like 5 a.m.”

While Mumford and Sons, and Florence and the Machine seem to be one of the most talked about performers, other acts this year include: Kendrick Lamar, Alabama Shakes, Earth Wind and Fire and Tove Lo. Local movers, locals, and new residents share the same level of excitement for the annual Tennessee event – so if you are moving to Knoxville, don’t miss Bonnaroo!
